Schaumburg police are investigating a fatal shooting in the parking lot of the Marriott Hotel on Martingale Road, ABC 7 is reporting.
The shooting happened at about 10:15 p.m. on Friday, Schaumburg police said. Police responded to a call of a woman shot. She was taken to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, where she later died.
According to ABC 7, a suspect was taken into custody at the scene, Schaumburg police said.
The woman was identified as Christine Moyer, 45, of Galena, Ohio, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
