A video making the rounds on the internet reportedly shows rapper Troy Ave shooting a person who is thought to be a thief in San Diego. This allegedly happened after a robbery attempt aimed at him and a show promoter.
The event took place close to where Ave was supposed to perform.
Who is Troy Ave?
Roland Collins, known as Troy Ave in the hip-hop world, grew up in Crown Heights, Brooklyn. Collins took his stage name from Troy Avenue, a street near where he lived as a kid.

The aforementioned video shows Brooklyn rapper Troy Ave pulling out a gun and shooting at a person thought to be a thief in San Diego, California. From what the reports say, this took place when someone tried to rob Troy Ave and a show promoter with him.

The time when this happened isn’t known yet. Several users on social media noted that Troy Ave, who has dealt with legal issues over weapons before, might be in trouble with the law again if the video’s real.
