Two-vehicle crash in eastern Iowa, injuries reported


FAYETTE COUNTY, Iowa (KCRG) – Two vehicles were involved in a crash on Friday afternoon in Fayette County.

Officers responded to a report of a two-vehicle crash at 4:06 p.m. on Friday.

The crash occurred at the intersection of 230th Street (Highway 18) and W Avenue.

According to officers, 66-year-old Michael Busch, of Waucoma, was heading southbound in a Chevrolet Suburban when he collided with another vehicle.

Busch entered the intersection and hit 40-year-old Erica Schmitt, of Tripoli, who was driving a Mitsubishi Galant.

Minor injuries were reported. The crash remains under investigation.
