Two Topeka men arrested for possession of meth following traffic stop


TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) – Two Topeka men were arrested for possession of meth following a traffic stop on Friday, July 18.

According to Sheriff Brian C. Hill, two men are in custody and facing felony narcotics-related charges, including distribution and possession of methamphetamine, following a traffic stop in North Topeka Friday night.

A deputy with the Shawnee County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on a black 2008 Infiniti with an unreadable license plate in the 1800 block of NW Topeka Boulevard on Friday shortly before 10 p.m.

During the investigation, illegal narcotics were located.

Marc M. Hight, 32, of Topeka, was arrested and booked into the Shawnee County Department of Corrections (SNDOC) on the following charges:

  • Distribution of an opiate, opium, narcotic or certain stimulant
  • Use/possess with intent to use drug paraphernalia into human body
  • Possession of marijuana
  • Display of license plate

Randall C-B Kirton, 31, was also arrested and booked into the SNDOC on the following charges:

  • Possession of an opiate, opium, narcotic or certain stimulant
  • Use/possess with intent to use drug paraphernalia into human body

This incident is still under investigation.
