MOSS LANDING, Calif. (KION-TV) – Two suspects have been arrested for an Armed robbery in Moss Landing earlier this afternoon.
According to Monterey County Sheriff’s Office, a person was robbed at knifepoint by three suspects around 11:40 a.m. near Dolan Road and Via Tanques Road in Moss Landing. The victim noticed that the suspects were burglarizing his work vehicle while on the job.
As the victim confronted them, one of the suspects pulled out a knife on both the victim and another co-worker. The suspects took tools and left the area with the two victims unharmed.
Around a little after Noon, deputies noticed a car matching the vehicle the suspects had left near Gonda Street by the Pajaro River levee in Pajaro. The suspects got out of the vehicle with one arrested immediately, another evading deputies, and another arrested following a brief foot pursuit.
34-year-old David Ortiz Calderon and 36-year-old Larry Genaro Martinez Escandon of Watsonville were arrested for Armed robbery and obstruction of a peace officer.
The third suspect remains outstanding and is described as a Hispanic male wearing a black top and blue pants. They were last seen running west along the south side of the Pajaro River levee.
