Trial underway for Cleveland man accused in double murder


CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) – The jury trial for a man accused in a double murder on the city’s East side last summer, began Tuesday in Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas.

Cleveland Police said Aric Ward, 27, fatally shot Bralon Shepard, 26, of Garfield Heights, and Sylvon Robinson, 27, of Cleveland, in the 10900 block of Prince Ave. last May.

The victims were inside a stolen car when they were shot, said police.

Ward fled the scene after the shooting and was arrested by the U.S. Marshals on Oct. 18.

Judge Steven Gall is presiding over the trial.
