TOOLE COUNTY, Mont. – On May 30, 2025, the Toole County Sheriff’s Office, working with the Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI), caught a 49-year-old man for felony warrants adding up to $30,000 from Louisiana. After he was taken to the Toole County Detention Facility, they served him another hefty $1,000,000 warrant from Louisiana. Sheriff Tyler Padilla shared that this was a joint effort with Louisiana investigators.
Following the arrest, they got a search warrant to look for stolen items at the man’s place. While searching, deputies and DCI agents found child sexual abuse material. They quickly got another search warrant to seize electronics with this material. A DCI forensic team came in to gather the electronic evidence. The investigation is still ongoing, and charges are in the works. His name hasn’t been made public yet. Sheriff Padilla emphasized, “The hard work and investigative skills from both agencies involved removed a predator out of the public and horrendous material from continuing to be shared.”
