It is quite literally the LAST thing you would expect to read on a Sunday evening in the Treasure Valley–yet the headlines are true.
On Sunday evening, July 27th, a plane headed for the Nampa Airport crashed into a residential garage and killed 3.
Investigators will be working late into the night and through the week to get answers on the small plane that crashed into a structure.

We are totally shocked at the news and cannot believe a tragedy like this has taken place. So many from the community are sharing their heartfelt messages online.
In a statement released by Nampa Police, the following was shared:
On July 27, 2025, at 5:41 p.m., Nampa Dispatch received several 911 calls reporting a plane crash near the Nampa Airport. Upon arrival, police located a small plane that had crashed in the 200 block of N. Venice Street, striking an unoccupied outbuilding in a residential neighborhood. The three people on board the aircraft did not survive the crash. No one on the ground was injured.
Federal Aviation Administration personnel are on scene, and personnel from the National Transportation Safety Board are expected to arrive tomorrow. The investigation is ongoing and under their guidance.
Authorities have also made clear that the names of the victims will not be released until after families are notified.
The tragedy comes as a total surprise here in the Treasure Valley.
