COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) – A 17-year-old girl has been arrested in connection to the shooting death of David Escobar, who was killed in Columbus earlier this year.
On Monday, July 21, Madison Bunch was taken into custody in Harris County by the Columbus Police Department’s Fugitive Unit with assistance from the Harris County Sheriff’s Office. Bunch is charged with murder and burglary. She is scheduled to appear in Recorder’s Court for a preliminary hearing on Thursday, July 24 at 1:30 p.m.
Escobar, also 17, was shot and killed on May 6. Officers responded to the 1000 block of Vineville Street around 5:30 p.m. and found Escobar suffering from a gunshot wound. Emergency medical crews attempted life-saving measures, but he was pronounced dead at 6:13 p.m.
