Start of Phillies-Yankees game Sunday delayed until 2 p.m.

NEW YORK – Sunday afternoon’s game start at Yankee Stadium is being delayed approximately a half-hour, with a first pitch scheduled for 2 p.m.

The tarp was in the process of being removed from the field at 1:15 p.m., in preparation for the series finale between the Philadelphia Phillies and the Yankees, trying to avoid a three-game sweep.

Right-hander Zack Wheeler (9-3, 2.39 ERA) is scheduled to start for Philadelphia against Yankees’ lefty Carlos Rodon (10-7, 3.10).
