GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KJCT) – Black smoke hung over downtown Grand Junction on Wednesday afternoon.
The Grand Junction Fire Department responded to a fire at South Avenue and South 6th Street. Multiple cars in the area were engulfed in flames sending black smoke into the air visible throughout downtown.
Firefighters extinguished the cars on fire and sprayed foam on nearby structures that were reported to have oxygen bottles and propane tanks in them.
One person was looked at after firefighters got there.
The cause of the fire is still being investigated.
