Rosedale man arrested in connection with fatal Baltimore shooting

BALTIMORE, MD—Baltimore homicide detectives have arrested a Rosedale man in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred earlier this month in the city’s Southeast District, police announced Monday.

Davon Kelly, 36, of Rosedale, was taken into custody on July 7 and charged with first and second-degree murder in the death of 38-year-old Aaron Hill.

Police said officers responded to the 3500 block of Esther Place on July 4 at approximately 11:51 p.m. after receiving calls about gunfire. Upon arrival, they found Hill suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Medics pronounced him dead at the scene.

Investigators believe the shooting stemmed from a dispute. Kelly was transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility after his arrest.
