Authorities in Floyd County have charged Erica Renee Johnson, 41 of Rockmart, in connection with an Armed robbery that occurred back on April 20, 2025. According to the Rome Police the incident took place near the intersection of North Broad Street and West Callahan Street in Rome.
Detectives stated that Johnson allegedly played a key role in the Armed robbery of a man who was reportedly robbed at gunpoint of his wallet. While Johnson did not directly carry out the robbery, investigators say she acted as an accomplice by driving “Mr. Byrd” to the scene. After the robbery, “Mr. Byrd” allegedly returned to a prearranged meeting point—the Hop&Shop convenience store—where Johnson picked him up.
The pair was last seen leaving the area in a red Chevrolet Malibu.
Johnson is charged with Armed robbery.
