FRANKFORD, Del. – A homicide investigation is underway after a Frankford woman was reportedly found dead Monday afternoon.
Troopers were called to the 34000 block of Zion Church Road just before 2:30 p.m. to check the welfare of a 37-year-old woman after she had reportedly not been contacted for several days. When troopers arrived at the home, they say they found the woman suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Detectives believe there is no threat to the public at this time.
