Philadelphia man arrested for alleged kitchen knife attack


PHILADELPHIA, New York (WWNY) – A Philadelphia man was arrested Saturday night after allegedly using a kitchen knife to cut another man’s neck.

Police say it happened just before 11 p.m. Saturday on Antwerp Street in Philadelphia, and the cut to the victim’s neck was deemed serious enough to be transported to Samaritan Medical Center in Watertown for treatment. The extent of his injuries is unknown.

Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office charged James Blount, 30, with first-degree assault with intent to cause serious injury with a weapon, a felony.

Blount was arraigned in CAP Court and later released.
