One dead in two vehicle crash in southeastern Iowa


LOUISA COUNTY, Iowa (KCRG) – One person has died in a two vehicle crash on Thursday.

A Chevrolet HHR was heading southbound and came to a stop at a stop sign at the intersection of County Road W66 and G52.

A semi-truck was heading westbound on County Road G52 when the Chevrolet failed to yield from the stop sign.

The Chevrolet turned into the path of the semi-truck. The semi hit the drivers side of the Chevrolet.

The semi came to rest in the SW ditch of the intersection. The Chevrolet came to rest on the south shoulder of G52 facing west.

According to a crash report from Iowa State Patrol, it does not indicate who died or if there were other passengers in both vehicles. No other injuries were stated.

The crash remains under investigation. No other information is known at this time.
