OKLAHOMA CITY — An Oklahoma City man has been booked on a complaint of First Degree Murder for the stabbing death of his girlfriend. Bond has been denied.
36-year-old Kyle Guthrie called 911 around 1:00 a.m. Saturday, July 26, stating that he and his girlfriend had been doing mushrooms and he had “stabbed her all over her body,” according to a sworn arrest affidavit filed by an Oklahoma City Police Department Homicide detective.


When patrol officers arrived at 5109 N. Roff Avenue, responding to the 911 call, they located Guthrie and took him into custody.
They also located his girlfriend, 36-year-old Thanh To, who had already died with multiple stab wounds.
The death is homicide #42 for the City of Oklahoma City in 2025.
The investigation is in its early stages and will take time to complete, said SSgt. Dillon Quirk in a press release.
