Ohio Man Charged with Murder After Deadly Pulaski County Shooting


A man was arrested Sunday and charged with murder in connection to a fatal overnight shooting in Pulaski County.

The Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office said 35-year-old Anthony Scott Emerson of Ohio is accused of shooting and killing 35-year-old Thomas Wayne Dick of Indiana during an altercation at a residence on Garland Road.

Deputies responded to the scene shortly before 1:30 a.m. on Sunday after Emerson reportedly called 911 to report the shooting. Upon arrival, authorities found Dick with a gunshot wound. He was later pronounced dead at the scene.

Emerson was charged with murder and is being held in the Pulaski County Detention Center on a $1 million bond.

The investigation is ongoing by the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office. Anyone with information is asked to call 606-678-5145 or 606-679-8477.
