PHOENIX (AZFamily) — The man accused of murdering a New River pastor earlier this year is expected to appear in court in Phoenix on Friday.
Adam Sheafe, 51, was extradited from Coconino County and is scheduled to appear in court at 8:30 a.m.
Sheafe first appeared before a Phoenix judge on July 18, where he was indicted on six felony charges related to William “Pastor Bill” Schonemann’s murder. He is also facing multiple other charges after leading law enforcement on a statewide manhunt through northern Arizona where he stole a car and broke into multiple homes.
Sheafe has admitted to crucifying Schonemann as well as having plans kill 13 other Christian leaders around the country.
MCSO says Sheafe has an extensive criminal past in Arizona and Nevada. The FBI was also involved in the investigation.
