BENNINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – A judge has dismissed murder charges against a Bennington man accused of killing his girlfriend in 2019.
According to the Bennington Banner, the murder case against Deven Moffitt in the killing of his then-girlfriend Jessica Hildenbrandt has been dismissed by a Bennington judge with prejudice, meaning he will never be charged with the same crime again.
Moffitt will still serve more than 12 years in federal prison on drug and gun convictions.
