FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) — A 76-year-old man was found dead Wednesday morning in East Central Fresno. Authorities are currently investigating the death as suspicious.
The incident initially began around 2:00 a.m. when police first received reports of a missing man.
Officers immediately began searching for the man. Hours later, at about 9:15 a.m., another call came in from someone who reported seeing a body on the median of Shields Avenue, between Sierra Vista and Maple Avenues.
When police arrived, officers found the man’s body. His identity has not been released, and police have not disclosed the cause of death.
Due to the circumstances around the discovery, authorities are treating the death as suspicious and have launched an investigation.
