Medical investigator revives person believed to be dead


KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT/Gray News) – A Knox County medical investigator saved the life of someone who was believed to be dead.

Medicolegal death investigator Kenzie Sellers was called to a Knoxville home about a body on Friday.

But upon arrival, she realized the person was not actually dead.

According to the Knox County Regional Forensic Center, Sellers immediately began to perform life-saving procedures.

With the help of the Knoxville Police Department, Sellers successfully revived the person.

The Knox County Regional Forensic Center said that the person remained alive after being resuscitated.

Officials said that this is not a regular occurrence for a medical investigator and praised Sellers for her quick thinking.
