Chambers County — A man is jailed on half a million dollars bond for the murder of his son-in-law.
Chambers County Sheriff Brian Hawthorne says David Snapp of Old River-Winfree is accused of shooting and killing Brian Yarbrough.
The investigation began at about 9:30 Tuesday night when deputies responded to a deadly shooting at a home in Old River-Winfree.
Deputies, assisted by officers with the Mont Belvieu Police Department, arrived on scene minutes after the shooting. While deputies preserved the scene and secured the suspect, David Snapp of Old River-Winfree, Mont Belvieu Police and EMS tried to save the victim’s life.
Yarbrough was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital where he died.
Detectives obtaining search warrants, processing the scene, conducting eyewitness interviews, and consulting with the Chambers County District Attorney’s Office.
Snapp, the victim’s father-in-law, was charged with Murder and booked into the Chambers County Jail.
