Man arrested for murder after fatal shooting at Lakeside Landing RV Park


PELL CITY, Ala. — A man was arrested early Friday morning following a fatal shooting at Lakeside Landing RV Park.

St. Clair County Central Dispatch received multiple 911 calls around 3:26 a.m. reporting the incident. Upon arrival, Pell City officers found the victim with a gunshot wound to the chest. Citizens at the scene had already begun CPR.

Barry Norris was identified as the suspect and taken into custody at the scene, authorities said.

The Pell City Fire Department provided advanced life-saving measures, but the victim was pronounced dead after being transported to UAB St. Clair.

Investigators said Norris and the victim were involved in an altercation before the shooting occurred. Norris has been arrested and booked into the St. Clair County Jail on one count of murder.
