LAKE COUNTY, Ohio (WOIO) – A 19-year-old man was arrested Wednesday after he fled an attempted traffic stop by Timberlake Police Friday.
Police said that on July 4, officers attempted to stop a motorcycle being ridden by Jhleon Jaylan Houston traveling at a high rate of speed on Lakeshore Blvd.
The motorcycle fled at speeds over 100 mph, and the pursuit was terminated.
With the assistance of the Cuyahoga County Sheriff’s Department, Euclid Police, Willowick Police, and the Ohio Investigative Unit, the motorcycle was located in Euclid and impounded.
Houston was arrested at work with help from the Cuyahoga County Sheriff’s Department and the Mentor Police.
Houston was charged with one felony and 7 misdemeanors.
Police said more charges from other agencies may be coming.
