A man has been arrested in connection with a homicide after a woman was shot and later pronounced dead early Saturday morning on the 5500 block of Georgetown Road in northwest Indianapolis.
Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers responded to a report of a person shot around 3 a.m. July 19. The woman, found outside a liquor store, was taken to an area hospital where she later died of her injuries, according to an IMPD release. Her name has not been released by officials.
IMPD detectives arrested Maurice Howard, 25, on suspicion of homicide. He has not yet been formally charged. No further information was immediately available July 19.
