Jimmy Frost, 34, has been charged with burglary of a building after he allegedly entered the business without permission, investigators said. Police did not immediately publicly disclose a motive for the incident.
Dallas police responded about 4:15 a.m. to a burglary call at the museum, located at 22 N Field Street in Victory Park, according to authorities.
The museum told The Dallas Morning News that the man’s entry before the museum opened at 10 a.m. prompted an immediate response from the museum’s security team, staff and Dallas police.
“There was no damage sustained to any of our exhibits and only minor damage to Museum property,” the statement said but it did not disclose what damage. “There is no threat to the safety of our staff and visitors, and the Museum opened as scheduled without incident.”
Museum officials declined to say if anything was taken during the burglary
