CLAY COUNTY, Ala. (WBRC) – A woman from Madison was killed Sunday, July 27, in a single-vehicle crash.
Authorities identified the victim as Zamaria T. Whetstone, 24.
According to ALEA, around 2:45 a.m., Whetstone’s car left the roadway and she hit a tree. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
ALEA says the crash occurred on Alabama 148 near the 10 mile marker, which is about five miles outside of Sylacauga city limits in Clay County.
Troopers with the ALEA Highway Patrol Division will continue to investigate.
