MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) – A suspect is accused of stealing a man’s wallet and threatening him with a box cutter on Sunday night at the South Transfer Point, the Madison Police Department reported on Monday.
According to MPD, a man’s wallet was taken as he was getting onto a bus just before 10:45 p.m. near the 800 block of West Badger Road.
Madison police said the 51-year-old pointed a box cutter at the victim and threatened him after he tried to chase him.
Authorities arrived and found the suspect hiding behind a nearby shed holding a box cutter.
The suspect allegedly refused to drop the weapon and allegedly tried to run away from authorities.
The Madison man was taken into custody and faces charges of strong armed robbery, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.
He was taken to the Dane County Jail.
