Lee County deputies search for man accused of murder, carjacking

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) – The Lee County Sheriff’s office is searching for the suspect of a fatal shooting that occurred Friday night.

Deputies are looking for 53-year-old Jamie Allen after Lee County deputies responded to a report of a shooting on Mikado Road around 9:45 p.m. Friday in the Mayesville Area of Lee County.

After arriving, deputies found the victim, 60-year-old Carol Wilson Baker, who was pronounced dead on the scene with an injury from a gunshot wound.

Investigators said they learned that Baker and Allen were in a relationship. According to authorities, the suspect shot the Baker while she was driving on Mikado Road.

Deputies said Allen then carjacked another vehicle in the area and fled the scene.

Allen is wanted for Murder, Possession of a Weapon During a Violent Crime, and Carjacking

Deputies warn that he is believed to be armed and dangerous.

If anyone has any information about the whereabouts of Allen, deputies ask to contact law enforcement.
