Lane closure scheduled for Winooski bridge

WINOOSKI, Vt. (WCAX) – Your morning commute may take a little extra time tomorrow. Starting at 9 a.m., the northbound lane of the Burlington-Winooski bridge will be closed to traffic.

The Vt. Agency of Transportation will be conducting geotechnical borings to prepare for the future construction of a new bridge, which is scheduled to start in 2027.

Drivers are asked to use caution, follow traffic control measures, and drive with care through the work zone.

The northbound lane is expected to re-open around 4 p.m.
