POPLAR GROVE, Ark. (KATV) — Arkansas State Police is investigating a shooting homicide that took place on July 5 in Poplar Grove that left one dead and put another in the hospital.
The Phillips County Sheriff’s Office request the ASP Criminal Investigation Division (CID) to assist with the investigation of the shooting that took place in the 300 block of Phillips County 113 around 2:15 p.m.
One victim, later identified as 38-year-old William “Red Henderson was transported to the Helena Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
Another victim, a 47-year-old man, arrived at an area hospital where he remains in stable condition.
CID Company A Special Agents would go on to arrest 41-year-old Decorick Farr of Poplar Grove and charged him with First-Degree Murder in connection with the shooting. Farr was book into the Phillips County Detention center, where he remains.
This is an ongoing investigation.
