HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – A man in Horry County has been arrested after he choked, slammed and threatened a woman with a gun earlier this year, warrants say.
Cody Huggins, 30, of Loris was arrested Saturday by Horry County police for assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature.

Horry County police were dispatched around 10 p.m. Feb. 20, 2025 to Hills Food Store at 4227 Broad Street to an alleged assault that had taken place on Daisy Road in Loris.
According to warrants, Huggins and the victim had gotten into an argument. He then choked her and slammed her on a bed before pointing a gun at her and threatening to kill her if she left.
This information was supported by visible injuries to the neck and throat of the victim.
Huggins is currently being held at J Rueben Long with a $5,000 bond.
