Horrific head-on crash leaves one dead, another seriously injured

SAN ANTONIO – A man is dead after a horrific head-on crash with a suspect drunk driver.

Police say that around 2 a.m. on Monday, a maroon pickup was traveling south on Historic Old Highway 90 near South Callaghan Road when it allegedly crossed into oncoming traffic.

The driver of the maroon truck, a man who has yet to be identified, was pronounced dead at the scene. His passenger, a woman, was rushed to the hospital with serious injuries.

The driver in the other truck was arrested for driving while intoxicated. However, police now say that their intoxication hadn’t contributed to the collision.
