Elderly man killed in Saturday vehicle crash


MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) – Montgomery police are investigating a single-vehicle accident that killed a man Saturday afternoon.

Officers responded to Upper Wetumpka Road near Columbus street around 4 p.m. where they found John Carl Smith, 73, suffering from fatal injuries.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

An investigation is underway.
