TEMPE, AZ (AZFamily) — Traffic on a busy stretch of the Loop 202 is back open after a serious multi-vehicle crash on Tuesday.
DPS says six cars were involved. The crash happened on the freeway near the Priest Drive exit. All eastbound lanes of traffic were closed for about three hours.
Five people, including one with life-threatening injuries, were transported to the hospital.
Detectives are still investigating what caused the crash.
