SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) – One woman was arrested after a crash at 41st and Southeastern on Wednesday.
According to police, the crash happened around 3:55 pm at 41st and Southeastern on Wednesday, July 30, 2025.
Witnesses reported a Nissan Rogue traveling at around 60 miles per hour in a 35 zone, going southbound on Southeastern.
The Nissan entered traffic near 41st Street and collided with a northbound Chevy Sonic that was stopped at a stoplight.
The suspect, Jessica Norse, 37, of Sioux Falls, was discovered to be under the influence and had multiple open containers in the vehicle.
Norse was sent to the hospital to be checked for injuries and was cleared and released from the hospital before being arrested.
There was also a seven-year-old who was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
The 7-year-old was uninjured, and the driver of the Chevy received minor injuries.
Norse was arrested for DWI, reckless driving, abuse or cruelty to a minor older than 7 years old, and open container.
