Crime Stoppers: Do You Know This Man? Suspect Sought in Deadly July 4 Shooting


Albuquerque –

On July 4, 2025, Joe Montoya was shot near 317 San Pablo St SE. On July 5th, the Albuquerque Police Department’s PIO announced that homicide detectives were notified overnight that Joe Montoya had died from his injuries.

APD detectives are attempting to locate the male pictured below. Homicide investigators believe he is connected to the murder of Joe Montoya.

If you recognize this male, please contact Crime Stoppers. The Albuquerque Police Department and Crime Stoppers urge anyone with information about the individual pictured to avoid approaching or contacting him. Authorities believe that he is armed and dangerous.
