Crews Respond to Alton Crash

ALTON, Maine (WABI) – Emergency crews are on scene of a crash in Alton Tuesday morning.

Reports were received around 10 a.m. of a two-vehicle crash on the Bennoch Rd., just north of Alton Grocery.

There are multiple fire and police departments on scene to help extricate the driver from a vehicle in the ditch. The other vehicle’s tail end was up on the guard rail across the road from the car in the ditch.

LifeFlight was also called to the scene.

The Bennoch Rd. from Alton Grocery to the Alton Fire Department will be closed until further notice.

We do not have many details regarding how many people were in the car or their conditions.
