CINCINNATI (WXIX) – A crash involving an Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) truck briefly shut down southbound Interstate 75 early Monday, hospitalizing two people, including an ODOT worker, police confirm.
All vehicles were routed off the highway at the Liberty Street exit and then also the Harrison Avenue exit for more than an hour.
The highway reopened shortly before 4 a.m.
A white pickup truck ran into the back of a white ODOT truck, police tell FOX19 NOW.
An ODOT worker in the truck and the driver of the pickup truck were both taken to the hospital, police confirm.
The extent of their injuries was not immediately available, but the Cincinnati Police Department Traffic Unit, which handles serious injury and fatal crashes, did not respond, a police supervisor said.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
