Hollywood is mourning the loss of an unforgettable star.
Malcolm-Jamal Warner, the actor who rose to prominence with his role as Theodore Huxtable on The Cosby Show, has died at the age of 54 after an accidental drowning, according to multiple outlets.
E! News has reached to Warner’s rep for additional comment.
For his work on The Cosby Show, Warner earned an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series in 1986. From there, he went on to star in beloved shows over the course his nearly 40-year career including Malcolm & Eddie, Reed Between the Lines and The Resident.
In 2023, Warner spoke to the legacy of The Cosby Show, noting that amid Bill Cosby‘s legal trouble, the series was still “something that we are all still very proud of.”
“We share a unique experience that keeps us lovingly bonded,” he told People at the time, “no matter how much time goes between seeing or hearing from each other.”
