Corinth police seek information into fatal shooting

CORINTH – The Corinth Police Department is asking for the public’s help to find the person or persons responsible for a fatal shooting Saturday night in central Corinth.

Officers were called to 1800 Bunch Street following a call to 911 at 9:53 p.m. The responding officers found Darius Gaines, 30, on the ground in the front yard, dead from an apparent gunshot wound. It appeared he was shot as he was trying to get into his car.

Anyone with information about the crime is asked to call CPD at 662-286-3377 or Crime Stoppers of Northeast Mississippi at (800) 773-TIPS.
