Three people were each arrested on multiple felony charges in connection with the kidnapping of a 2-year-old girl from a Bronzeville home, Chicago police said late Friday.

The young girl was taken just before 5 a.m. from a home along South Michigan Avenue near East 48th Street after a group of three armed people their way into the residence, authorities said. The woman and two men, all armed with firearms, abducted the young girl before taking a vehicle and “other property,” police said in an alert.

Family members said the female suspect, Angelique Mobley, 22, is the girl’s biological mother.

Mobley and Lamon Weathers, 33, were taken into custody on Wednesday evening in the 6300 block of South Kedzie, police said. Mobley was arrested on charges of kidnapping, residential burglary/false reporting and child abduction conceal/detain, while Weathers was accused of aggravated armed kidnapping and home invasion involving a firearm, officials stated.

The third suspect, Matthew Price, 27, was arrested early Thursday in the 1600 block of South Central Park Avenue on charges of felony aggravated kidnapping, home invasion with a firearm and receive/possess/sell a stolen vehicle, officials said.

All three were expected to appear at a detention hearing on Saturday.
