Cary police arrest man accused of shooting into a vehicle during road rage incident :: WRAL.com


Cary police have arrested the person accused of shooting a 5-year-old on Monday in a road rage incident while the child was traveling inside a vehicle.

On Tuesday, police said 20-year-old Charles Edward Stevenson Jr. was located and taken into custody just before 8 p.m.

This comes after shots were fired into a vehicle during a road rage incident on U.S. 1 in Cary. Police said the girl is in stable condition and is expected to be ok.

Stevenson is facing several charges including assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill and discharging a firearm into occupied property.
