A 13-year-old girl has been arrested in connection with an armed robbery that occurred Friday night, according to Baltimore police.
On July 11, at approximately 8:30 p.m., officers responded to a report of an armed robbery at a business located on the 200 block of East Baltimore Street.
When officers arrived, they learned that the 13-year-old suspect had entered the business, poured two bottles of alcohol into a container, and attempted to leave the premises, officials said.
The incident escalated into an altercation between the store employee and the suspect, during which the 13-year-old allegedly damaged property, brandished a knife, and threatened to stab the employees, police reported.
Following the incident, officers transported the girl to a nearby hospital for a medical evaluation before taking her to the Juvenile Justice Center, where she was processed and charged.
