SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) – An altercation led to a barricading and shooting incident, leaving a woman injured.
Around 10:08 a.m., the Shreveport Police Department (SPD) responded to an armed person report at 8600 block of Dowdell Street.
Upon arrival, officers learned that a man and a woman had gotten into an argument. During the altercation, the man barricaded himself inside a home. The woman was reportedly threatening to shoot the man and broke down the door.
The man allegedly shot the woman when she broke in.
Officers searched and found the woman, injured with a gunshot wound, in a wooded area nearby.
The woman allegedly would not cooperate with officers and was tased.
The woman has been taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
No arrests have been made at this time.
