HARTFORD, Conn. (WFSB) – A teenager has been arrested for a 2024 murder in Hartford.
The shooting took place on September 13th, 2024, in the area of 1072 Capitol Avenue.
Police received multiple calls reporting the shooting at around 7:37 p.m.
When officers arrived, they found 57-year-old Kollie Yakpoaro dead in the roadway.
During the investigation, 18-year-old Kaylon Williams was identified as a suspect.
An arrest warrant was signed by a judge charging Williams with murder.
Williams was already incarcerated on other charges at the time.
Yesterday, the arrest warrant was served. Williams was charged with conspiracy to commit larceny, larceny, conspiracy to commit larceny of a motor vehicle, conspiracy to commit robbery, robbery, larceny or a motor vehicle and felony murder.
His bond has been set at $2,000,000.
