Man killed in head-on collision between motorcycle and semi


HARDIN COUNTY, Ky. (WAVE) – A man in Hardin County is dead after losing control of his motorcycle Monday night.

According to the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office, 57-year-old John Barnes of Upton, Ky. was driving his motorcycle on the Western Kentucky Parkway when he lost control on the wet pavement and crossed the median into the opposite lane. Barnes hit a tractor trailer driven by 41-year-old Vasily Burshtynskiy head on near the 121-mile marker around 9:15 p.m.

Barnes was declared dead at the scene. Burshtynskiy suffered no injuries.
