No injuries reported after Wells Township structure fire


WELLS TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WLUC) – Nobody was hurt Sunday after a two-story structure fire in Wells Township.

Around 1:48 a.m., the Department of Escanaba Public Safety says it was called to a structure fire at 2853 16.5 Rd.

Officers say the two-story building was fully engulfed in flames.

Firefighters were on scene for 4.5 hours.

The home was unoccupied at the time of the fire and is considered a total loss.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

Escanaba Public Safety was assisted on scene by the Ford River Township Fire Department, Escanaba Township Fire Department, Bark River Township Fire Department, Rampart, U.P.P.C.O. and the Delta County Central Dispatch Center.
