San Antonio teen charged in fatal shooting at apartment complex

SAN ANTONIO — A local teen is being charged in a fatal shooting at an apartment complex on the city’s Northside.

The shooting unfolded on June 14, 2025, at an apartment complex on Huebner Road.

According to police reports, the disturbance involved Jason Timothy Gonzales, 19, who is accused of firing a gun during an argument, striking 37-year-old Fnu Bahishta in the abdomen after passing through the apartment door. She was transported to a nearby hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

Three witnesses saw the altercation. Witness 1 recounted that the argument began inside the apartment, where Gonzales and Witness 3 engaged in a heated argument that escalated into a physical fight. During the confrontation, Gonzales allegedly pulled out a handgun and pointed it at Witness 3. Despite the ongoing argument, Gonzales fired the weapon, with the bullet traveling through the apartment’s front door.

Witness 2, who was in a bedroom during the altercation, reported hearing a gunshot and a male voice threatening to shoot everyone in the apartment. She observed Gonzales holding a firearm before hiding in a closet. Both Witness 1 and Witness 2 later identified Gonzales as the shooter from a photo lineup.

Witness 3, who was present with Gonzales at the apartment after a party earlier that night, provided Gonzales’ identifying information, but was not forthcoming about the shooting details.

Jason Timothy has been arrested on charges of murder, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and aggravated robbery.
